Hi, I'm Raghad Bayradkdar!

After graduating, I started my own family, and during my first pregnancy, I struggled to find stylish and elegant maternity wear. I couldn’t understand why so many stores seemed to assume we suddenly wanted to dress like grandmothers! I quickly realized that the market lacked modest maternity and nursing wear, and as a hijabi mother, finding comfortable yet stylish options was even more challenging. Most maternity clothes I came across looked cheap, uninspired, and didn’t meet my needs for both fashion and functionality.

That’s when I knew I had to create something better—not just for myself, but for other mothers and mothers-to-be who deserved to feel confident and beautiful throughout pregnancy and beyond. And so, Spark of Modesty was born, right alongside my first child.

I started by designing dresses for myself—pieces that were not only comfortable during pregnancy but also practical for postpartum and breastfeeding. To my delight, those very first designs have stood the test of time—three years later, I can still wear them, proving that maternity fashion can be both versatile and timeless!

Along the way, I discovered that so many modest women faced the same struggle. They, too, wanted maternity wear that balanced comfort, style, and modesty. With the incredible support of my husband, who took care of the business side of things, I was able to fully focus on designing and bringing Spark of Modesty to life. Together, we built a brand that helps pregnant and breastfeeding women find clothing that makes them feel confident, comfortable, and truly themselves.
